TS TECH commenced business in 1960 as a manufacturer of motorcycle seats, and has grown to become a global supplier of automobile seats and interiors, with operations in a total of 57 locations in 11 countries. The UK operation has grown from 150 employees to nearly a 1000 in the last 4 years. 3d have designed, implemented and deployed a highly resilient IT network infrastructure to cope with the demands of high volume production environment. In the last 4 years 3d have installed a high availability enterprise class Windows 2003 Server Cluster based network with over 10TB fibre connected SAN. There are 2 x 4TB data libraries backing up and storage of critical manufacturing data the site has grown with the demands of expanding production capacity and space to over 50,000 sq m.
Over the last 4 years 3d have installed over 5Km fibre optic network, 35Km of copper data cabling and more than 15 Enterprise managed Cisco switches. In addition to 3d were consulted on the replacement of a legacy Mitel telephone system which was outdated and not expandable. After discussing with the client as assesing their current and future needs 3d chose the Aastra Intelligate 2065 IP enabled telephone switch. Once the decision was taken the Intelligate enterprise class VOIP system was installed with a ruggedised handsets and external DECT antennas so that users can be mobile across the entire site whilst retaining full communication to co-workers, customers and suppliers.
3d managed the installation of ISDN 30 lines, installation and project management of the telephone system ,training sessions for key management and team leaders to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to the new system.
