Tican Chilled Ltd sells and distributes Tican's own products and also beef, poultry meat and delicatessen products from all over the world to the UK market. Its customers are major well known high street supermarkets along with wholesalers and independent delicatessens.
The company has a number of UK sites with the UK head office in Walsall, Sales office in Chippenham and distribution in Norfolk. The processing of sales and logistics data is linked to back to headquarters in Thisted in Denmark via a dedicated leased line
3d have installed and deployed Unix & Windows servers to all UK sites and provided a logical Active Directly infrastructure, senior management can visit any UK operation and work seamlessly, securely and without having to change any local PC settings. The company moved from a single office with 1 PC to a network where there are nearly 120 users across 3 sites over the last 6 years. 3d have been instrumental with the planning, management and deployment of IT and telephony for all sites.
The latest site was occupied in February 2008 where Tican acquired a regional distributor of meat products for £12M and 3d integrated them to the UK & Danish IT structure. The project required new cable infrastructure for voice and data. New ADSL and leased line, new external ISDN lines for voice traffic, new servers for local and WAN file print, VPN connectivity to UK and Danish sites. In addition to this 3d also installed a Panasonic IP capable digital telephone system to replace a legacy analogue switch the whole project was entirely managed by 3d using in house engineers and consultants. The client simply vacated the old offices on Friday and on the following Monday walked into a new office with a brand new IT infrastructure.
